The box I received in the mail was full of cuttings (stems, leaves, but no roots) wrapped in wet newspaper. If I put these cuttings in my pond will they start their own root system? Nearly every day, I cut off several long, leafy stems (where the flowers would eventually be) so that the plants stay lower and more compact.
Will those stems root if I put them in …. something? If so, what?
