Can anyone tell me how to take a cutting off of an existing Wisteria plant & root it? I do not want to dig it up since the roots seem to be in China-lol. Last year, I tried to purchase this vine from Lowe’s but the piece I bought did not take well at all and died quickly.
Any help would be most appreciated.

The concept is simple – but not predictable.
Neither me nor my friend has ever had luck with rooting a cutting or 6 or 8 or???? Cut, hormone, medium, mist, cover and that is supposed to work.
Can anyone give instructions and why? I need to better understand this method after surfing thousands of sites and info saying the same thing and still no luck……..How do you do it? and can I get roots on cuttings in water? if it’s a shrub? or plant?
I am trying the cuttings in water that are soft stemmed – including new clematis growth.
But as for the shrub cuttings, should I root in soil (prepared) and let em be for a while?

Do you use seeds or cuttings? If it’s cuttings, what’s the best way to root them?
Seeds? Cuttings? How do you start the cuttings? Do you put them in water until they grow roots? If you use a rooting powder, do you just dip the cutting in the powder and plant it?
rooting cuttings plants
My mother came over about 3 weeks ago and planted 4 cuttings from her French Lilac bushes at my house. About a week after they were planted I noticed the soil around the base of all transplants was disturbed. A few days after that I found holes had been dug around the roots and one was missing.
Is there an animal that likes to eat the roots of the lilac bush or was one of my neighbors trying to get a start of their own at my expense?
Thanks!
rooting cuttings plants
My neighbors have an amazing Spanish Broom plant. It needs to be trimmed–you cannot see around it at the busy intersection. We would like to take a few cuttings. How do we root it? Can we just plant it or do we need to put it in water and get some roots to grow first?
