Some one gave me cuttings from their plant and I don’t know whether to put it directly into soil or root it in water first. Pleas help…thank you. They were pulled off from the ends of the plants.

What is the best way to root blueberry cuttings?
I have looked up some information online but am having trouble finding specifics- I am trying the method using root stimulator and a tubering method but here are some things I would like to know-
what should i look for when choosing the cuttings to use- should there be certain characteristics or certain parts of the cuttings that I should be using?
How long should it take, how long should I give it and at what point should I give up if there are no roots?
What works best root stimulator and planting them vertically in sandy soil or tubering?
What is the best environment for propegating new plants?
Any experience you can share is greatly welcome and appreciated.
I have 7 viable blueberry bushes in my yard- three are fully mature and 4 are newbies and will probably not produce for about 2 more years
the cuttings I have are from my mature bushes- I just want to know how to make sure I use cuttings that have the capacity to root and how best to ensure rooting.

Can cuttings from annuals be grown over winter with a grow light..everyone told me spikes were annuals and only had a certain amount of life span but thats not true..I put 4 in my basement last year with a grow light on them at night only and all 4 survived great..this year I’m trying other annuals…any suggestions on what cuttings I can do and will grow over the winter with some ease…and please keep in mind I’m just a beginner…my hydrangea cuttings have been rooting nicely all summer so I figured ..why not try other plants over the winter using a grow light..a list of the easiest ones to root would a great start…thank you, in advance for your help.

why can the explants taken from plants (little cuttings) grow new roots and shoots when they are in agar?

Okay. I sold my house and I want some of the plants to come along with me from cuttings. There is confederate Jasmine all along my fence which we love and it’s so vigorous that there is plenty to thin out. I have tried cutting and putting the cut end into water to encourage rooting and this did not work. Also, we cut and dipped the cut edge in some root-all before putting in potting soil and the cuttings are dying. If you could help me out, that would be great! Thanks in advance!
